About the Position The work involves unloading and loading containers from ships – physical work performed using cargo handling equipment. The work is performed at heights, which places high demands on both safety awareness and attention to detail. Working hours vary and may include day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. Therefore, we're looking for someone who is flexible and able to step in with short notice. The position is expected to start in October, though some training may take place before then. About You We're looking for someone who is confident, responsible, and enjoys teamwork. Communication primarily occurs via radio, which requires clear communicative skills in Swedish. The company works extensively with global customers, which means customer contact in English occurs. You handle stress and maintain focus even in pressured situations, as work may take place under time constraints. Requirements for the position: - You are studying or have other primary employment at 100%. - You have at least one year of continuous work experience. - You have a complete upper secondary school diploma. - You are fluent in Swedish. - You hold a class B driver's license. - You are in good physical condition and able to work at heights. Experience in terminal and/or port work as well as an interest in logistics and shipping are considered meriting but not required. Before a potential employment, Gothenburg Port also conducts a security clearance.
