What does the role involve?
As a part-time firefighter, you maintain your regular employment while being on-call during certain periods. When the alarm sounds, you respond with your team – to fires, accidents, and other urgent incidents.
You'll become part of a team where cooperation, trust, and responsibility are crucial.
How it works
On-call duty: 7 days during a 4-week period (regular shift)
Pool service: Flexible solution where you fill in as needed
Training: Regular drills that keep you confident in your role
Teamwork: You join one of our on-call groups that together ensures safety around the clock
Education Requirements
No prior experience required – we'll train you
The position requires no previous experience in emergency services.
You'll complete the GRIB training (Basic Training for Part-Time Firefighters) which:
Covels a total of 7 weeks (4 + 3 weeks) with flexible start dates
Is paid by the employer
Provides the knowledge and skills you need for the role
Basic training is scheduled to start in fall 2026.

Prerequisites for Employment
To be a candidate for this position, you need to:
Be able to arrive at the fire station within 5 minutes from both your home and workplace
Have good physical fitness and health according to emergency services standards
Have strong knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Be a competent swimmer
Hold a B driver's license and be willing to obtain a C driver's license
