About Kriminalvården Kriminalvården is expanding – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding existing ones, and we are now seeking more employees. The IT department is experiencing strong growth. We are looking for someone with a strong interest in IT, knowledge, and experience that can enrich our digitalization journey and who wants to make a difference in society within your profession. Within the IT Management & Follow-up and Security Section, we want to expand expertise in operational management. As of September 1st, the section will be divided into two: the IT Management & Follow-up Section and the IT Property and Security Section. Job Description As an IT Operations Manager, you have a central role where you combine operational leadership with tactical coordination. You lead and coordinate IT operations within one or more areas of responsibility and/or systems, and ensure that solutions are secure, stable, and evolve in line with operational needs. You are an important link between IT and operations and work together with management to create a shared vision and maximize the value of IT operations. Your role includes planning, prioritizing, and monitoring operational activities, budgets, risks, and dependencies, as well as leading operational management meetings and coordinating internal and external collaborations. You drive improvement work, investigate problems together with IT specialists and operations staff, and translate operational needs into concrete technical solutions. The role also includes responsibility for relevant documentation, impact analyses, and environmental monitoring. We are looking for someone who has: An academic degree or other vocational training in a relevant subject area such as systems science, computer science, IT operations, security, or project management, or alternatively other education combined with experience that Kriminalvården deems relevant At least two years of experience working with operations or projects/assignments in roles such as operations manager, systems administrator, assignment manager, or project manager in a relevant area Very good knowledge of expressing yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish It is also advantageous to have: Certification in areas such as ITIL, project management, and/or operations management Leadership training Experience with some governance and collaboration model Experience with change management Experience with IT support in areas such as security systems, security-classified information, security protection, and/or secure communication Experience with IT procurement Good knowledge of expressing yourself well in speech and writing in English Good knowledge in security, such as information security, IT security, and/or security systems Other Information Kriminalvården has chosen to remove the personal letter and replace it with selection questions relevant to the position.
