In your role as a data protection specialist, you will become an important partner to the operations on matters concerning personal data, GDPR, and secure digital development. Welcome to us The office is part of the Preparedness and Administration Department. The office consists of seven employees plus a unit manager. We are responsible for records management, board administration, archives, data protection, information security, legal matters, and ILS coordination. Through our work, we contribute to creating conditions for efficient and appropriate management, follow-up, and development across the entire organization. We work toward modern, legally sound, and efficient information management for the administration. We also promote good public transparency and efficient, trustworthy board administration management. You will serve as an advisor and provide support on matters concerning personal data handling and help the operations understand and fulfill their obligations, while also contributing to finding solutions that work in practice. You will have many contact points within the Social Services Department and therefore need to thrive in a role where you alternate between advising, analyzing, developing, and more operational tasks. You will work closely with the administration's information security coordinator (ISAM). An important part of the role is to contribute to data protection work that is both structured and operationally focused. You need to be able to make regulations understandable, identify risks, and set clear requirements, but also be solution-oriented and help the operations find ways forward. Your main work tasks include, among others: conducting data protection impact assessments together with the operations, for example before procurements, new systems, or changed operational processes providing advice and support to data controllers, data processors, and other operations on data protection matters supporting the creation and management of data processing agreements supporting, coordinating, and following up on reporting and management of personal data incidents, and assessing risks and consequences contributing to the development of the operations' record inventories educating and informing the operations about data protection together with ISAM developing, creating, and updating policy documents, guidelines, templates, and procedures for personal data handling monitoring the external environment and developing the administration's data protection work Your competence and experience We are looking for someone who has: a relevant academic degree, for example in information security, IT, archives, or political science solid experience and knowledge of GDPR, legal regulations, guidelines, and rules, and other relevant data protection legislation documented experience working with operational data protection matters in the public sector or another large organization practical experience handling personal data incidents, conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIA), and working systematically with record inventories experience creating data processing agreements good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written It is beneficial if you have: understanding of cybersecurity and the standards underlying systematic data protection work, such as the ISO 27000 series experience with the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (OSL) experience conducting knowledge-raising initiatives, such as training and feedback sessions experience assessing personal data processing and privacy risks in AI-driven solutions, data platforms, cloud services, or other technically complex digital solutions experience working consultatively with operations Personal abilities and skills In this recruitment, we place great emphasis on the competencies mentioned below, personal suitability, motivation, and commitment to the position.
