Valkas Municipality (Reg. No. 90009114839) is inviting applications for a Senior Occupational and Civil Protection Specialist (code per Occupational Classification – 3119 04) on a permanent basis. Work location: Rīgas iela 25, Valka, Valkas novads. Primary responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and improve the occupational safety system in Valkas Municipality structural units and institutions; Draft occupational safety, civil protection, and workplace environment internal monitoring plans; Organize occupational safety training, mandatory health examinations, and ensure necessary documentation; Advise responsible persons on occupational safety matters; Organize accident investigations; Coordinate the work of the civil protection commission, record commission meetings, and compile information related to civil protection issues. Requirements for candidates: At least first-level higher education in occupational safety; Knowledge of regulatory acts; State language proficiency at the highest level; Strong analytical, collaborative, and communication skills; Ability to respond quickly and make decisions; High sense of responsibility and precision; Ability to independently plan work time and set priorities; Category B driver's license.
