What We Do and Our Vision Tyresö Cultural School offers after-school activities for children and young people ages 5-19 in music, dance, theater, musical, circus, visual arts, film, and animation. The cultural school has approximately 1,200 students and over 30 teachers. Activities are primarily held at the cultural center Kvarnhjulet, within walking distance of Tyresö center, as well as at libraries, youth centers, and several municipal schools. About the Position We are looking for a dance teacher specializing in street dance and children's dance. We seek someone who looks forward to working with others to achieve the cultural school's goals and contribute to development, always keeping the student in focus. The position includes close collaboration with subject colleagues and subject teams. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Teaching takes place in groups and is directed at children ages 5-19. In this role, you are expected to work on various projects and performances and also participate in outreach activities to reach new target groups. The position is permanent with a scope of 30% of full-time. Monthly salary. Individual salary setting. Desired start date: as soon as possible. A valid police clearance certificate must be provided before employment. Who Are You? You must have adequate pedagogical education or substantial experience in teaching the subject that the employer deems equivalent. It is meritorious if you have previous experience working in a cultural school, conducting outreach activities, and teaching younger children. You have the ability to inspire and motivate students through good pedagogy. You have strong collaboration skills and can communicate both verbally and in writing with students, parents, colleagues, and other municipal staff. You are independent and can take your own initiatives to develop your teaching. You are creative and see possibilities in students' creative work. Furthermore, you are strongly committed to your subject while maintaining a holistic perspective on the cultural school's activities. We place great importance on personal suitability.
