About the position
Within the specialty of cytology, we study cells to investigate, diagnose, and monitor diseases. The cytology samples analyzed at our laboratory are crucial for making the correct diagnosis, choosing the most appropriate treatment, and assessing how a disease develops over time. We also play an important role in preventive work through our extensive screening operations.
In this role, you work independently with screening and diagnostics of cervical cytology and other exfoliative cytology. Your tasks include assessment and reporting of, among other things, benign cervical cytology, lung cytology, urinary tract cytology, and various types of exudates.
With us, you will have the opportunity to develop within a highly specialized field. Through the centralized cervical cytology at Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge and analysis of high complexity, such as immunocytochemistry and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), excellent opportunities are offered for advanced professional development within diagnostics.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- License as a biomedical analyst, issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare
- Master's degree in diagnostic cytology
- Excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Meritorious:
- Previous experience working as a cytodiagnostician
- Previous experience working in cytology or pathology
