Customs Specialist – Customs Control Tower

We are now seeking a Customs Specialist for our Customs Control Tower – a role for someone with customs experience who wants to work more broadly with consulting, classification, permits, and development of customer processes.
About the role:
Our Customs Control Tower functions as a central hub for our customers on matters relating to customs and international trade. We help companies navigate complex regulations, find smarter ways of working, and ensure that their flows function both practically and in compliance with regulations.
As a Customs Specialist, you will have a varied day-to-day where you work with both ongoing matters and more complex customer assignments. One day might involve assessing a commodity code, the next a customs permit or helping a customer find the right solution for their import or export flow.
Your main responsibilities:
Permit management and follow-up of customs-related permits
Customs consulting internally and for customers
Customs classification and work with commodity codes
Analysis and development of customers' customs processes
Handling and investigation of customs-related matters and discrepancies
Contact with customers, customs authorities, and other relevant parties
Contribute to ensuring that customers' customs handling is conducted correctly and in accordance with applicable regulations
Monitoring of the external environment and management of changes within customs and international trade
Who are we looking for?
We believe you have worked with customs previously and feel confident in the basic customs processes. Customs experience is a requirement, but you do not need to be a specialist in all areas.
Perhaps you have primarily worked with customs clearance and want to take the step toward more consulting work. Or you already have experience in, for example, classification, permits, or customs consulting and want to continue broadening your role.
What is most important to us is that you are curious, analytical, and solution-oriented and enjoy delving into new questions.

The position is permanent, 100% in Halden, alternatively in Göteborg. Reports to Compliance Manager.
