COO / Operations Manager at Stolab – shaping the future of Swedish furniture production
Do you want to take full responsibility for a unique Swedish industrial operation – where craft tradition meets modern production and future growth?
Stolab is now looking for a COO / Operations Manager who wants to lead and develop our operations into the next phase. This is a role for someone who is driven by structure and results – and who sees the opportunities in developing, challenging and building for the future.
Why Stolab?
At Stolab, you step into a business with a strong identity, proud traditions and high ambitions for the future. It is a company where you as COO have real influence and the opportunity to make an impact – not just on strategic matters, but in the daily operations where decisions make a difference.
You become part of a family-oriented and engaged culture where people care about both the product and each other, and where transparency, responsibility and curiosity are natural parts of the way of working. With local and present ownership, clear growth ambitions – including developing production structure, investments in new ways of working and a long-term ambition to grow – Stolab offers a unique opportunity to combine industrial rigor with genuine craft tradition.
Stolab is a family-owned company with roots in Småland's furniture tradition. We design, manufacture and sell high-quality wood furniture – with iconic products appreciated worldwide.
Here quality, long-term thinking and innovation meet in a culture characterized by curiosity, responsibility and proximity to both decisions and production.
About the role
As COO you have full business and results responsibility for Stolab's operations – with focus on production, procurement and supply chain. In the role you work closely with the CEO, business controller and CSO.
You ensure that our operations are efficient, profitable and competitive today – while building supply chains, structures and ways of working that meet tomorrow's requirements.
You are part of the management team and a central player in Stolab's continued development journey, with a focus on further developing the production structure, strengthening profitability and creating conditions for future growth.
Summary of your assignment:
Ensure stable operations and high delivery precision
Drive cost efficiency and profitable production
Develop and optimize production structure and sourcing, including the right balance between own production and external partners
Build long-term and competitive supplier and partner relationships
Drive initiatives that strengthen profitability, capacity and future scalability
Create transparency and structure through clear KPIs, forecasts and follow-up
Engage and develop the organization through participation, dialogue and modern leadership
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who combines strong operational drive with clear development focus. You have an academic background in, for example, engineering, industrial economics, production or supply chain and have built up substantial experience from leading roles in production, manufacturing or supply chain. You are used to taking responsibility for both results and people and have a good understanding of how to drive profitability through right priorities, investments and ways of working.
You have experience developing production structures and sourcing, and see opportunities in building complementary partnerships where it strengthens the business. At the same time you value production as a strategic asset and understand the importance of developing it long-term.
As a person you are structured and analytical with the ability to create order, clarity and momentum even in complex situations. You have the courage to challenge existing ways of working – but you do it with respect and judgment. You are a present and engaging leader who creates participation, builds trust and gets people to work towards common goals.
You thrive in an environment where tradition is valued and at the same time there is a constant desire to develop, and you have enough standing to make decisions while being unpretentious and attentive in dialogue with others.
