About the Role As Controller, you will have a central role in the organization with responsibility for Lumibird's financial management, with the exception of day-to-day accounting. You ensure that leadership and operations have relevant and reliable financial information to make well-founded decisions. The role is both strategic and operational and includes budgeting, forecasting, reporting, financial analysis, liquidity planning, and monitoring of the company's results and inventory. As Controller, you will be an important partner to leadership and operations and will hold a central position in the company's financial management. You are expected not only to report what has happened but also to analyze why it happened, what consequences it has, and what actions should be taken going forward. The role involves substantial personal responsibility and is suited for someone who enjoys working with details while also being able to step back and understand what the numbers mean for the business. Your Main Responsibilities: Budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial monitoring Monthly reporting and analysis of the company's financial results Analysis and monitoring of results, costs, margins, and variances Development and monitoring of relevant financial KPIs Liquidity planning and cash flow monitoring Financial planning and economic management Financial inventory reconciliations and analysis of inventory-related variances Monitoring and analysis of inventory value, inventory changes, and related metrics Preparing decision-making materials for leadership and operations Profitability analyses and financial impact assessments Supporting managers and other functions on financial matters Developing and improving financial processes, reports, and analysis tools Ensuring quality and structure in the company's financial reporting Collaboration with the function or external party responsible for day-to-day accounting Contributing an economic perspective to the company's strategic and operational development We're Looking for Someone Who: We seek someone with: University or college degree in economics, finance, or equivalent At least 5 years of experience working as a Controller Solid experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial monitoring Experience with financial reporting and economic analysis Good understanding of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis Experience with liquidity planning and financial management Good understanding of inventory accounting, valuation, and financial inventory reconciliations Very strong Excel skills and experience working with business systems Strong ability to present and explain financial information to non-financial audiences Excellent Swedish and English language skills, both verbal and written Experience from a small or medium-sized company where you had broad financial responsibility is a merit. Experience from manufacturing or other inventory-intensive operations is also a merit.
