We are now seeking a Controller for our Finance Department, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. You will have a central role focused on the company's real estate projects and investments, and become part of an experienced and engaged team of six people responsible for the company's accounting, reporting, and financial follow-up. Responsibilities As a Controller, you will work with follow-up, budget, and forecast processes and be responsible for preparing reports for management and the board. You have a special responsibility for the financial follow-up of the company's real estate projects within renovation, maintenance, and new construction in close collaboration with administration, operations, and real estate development. The work involves preparing and quality-assuring investment calculations, monitoring costs and forecasts, and ensuring correct handling in the income statement and balance sheet, including capitalization in the fixed asset register and assessment of investment versus maintenance. In dialogue with managers and project leaders, you function as a financial partner and contribute with analysis and structure on matters relating to investments and ongoing operations. You also participate in the work with internal reports, key performance analyses, and monthly, interim, and annual closing statements. The assignment includes supporting managers and employees with financial matters as well as assisting the Chief Financial Officer and other colleagues in the Finance Department with investigations and tasks that may arise within the department's scope. You also have shared responsibility for the company's follow-up and analysis systems and parts of the real estate system. Requirement Profile We are seeking someone with higher education in economics or other relevant post-secondary education. However, the most important thing is your background and your ability to independently work with financial follow-up of real estate projects. You have experience in controlling at real estate companies and have worked with residential real estate. The role requires work with project or real estate controlling with a link to investments. You are experienced with investment calculations, project follow-up, and capitalization in the fixed asset register and have a good understanding of how investments affect the income statement and balance sheet. You have a solid foundation in real estate economics, accounting, and VAT matters and work seamlessly in Excel with good system expertise. Experience with process and procedure development is meritorious. As a person, you are collaboration-oriented and thrive in a role with many contact points. You are confident and clear in your assessments and have integrity in your work approach.
