Your New Workplace We are now seeking a controller who wants to take a central role as controller for the parent company in the municipal group Stadsbacken. You will be part of the Finance and Operations Management department at the Municipal Executive Office, where you will have your workplace and closest colleagues. The position is managed by the CEO of Stadsbacken, who is also the Finance Director of Sundsvall Municipality. The department has an important mission to ensure efficient and secure processes and provide qualified support in finance and operations management to the municipality's elected officials, administrations, and companies. Here, engaged and competent employees work together to contribute to a sustainable and well-functioning municipal group. How You Contribute in Your Role as Controller for the Group In this role, you have a central function in ensuring efficient and quality-assured financial management for the parent company in the municipal group Stadsbacken. You work both strategically and operatively as important support in decision-making processes. Your responsibilities include developing budgets and forecasts, ongoing monitoring and analysis of outcomes, and preparing financial statements for the parent company. An important part of the work is also developing analyses and decision-making materials for the group's finances, as well as conducting investigations together with subsidiary companies. You are responsible for preparing annual reports and interim reports for both the parent company and the group, where target fulfillment is also analyzed. The role of controller at Stadsbacken is broad and requires significant personal responsibility. This includes gathering, processing, and analyzing financial facts and key figures, as well as preparing well-founded decision-making materials and reports for management and governance. You also conduct qualified financial analyses that contribute to the development and efficiency of operations. Your Competence and Experience We seek you with an academic education that the employer deems relevant for the position, combined with several years of experience as a controller or finance manager in companies. You have very good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing, good computer skills, and knowledge of an accounting system. You have a good overall perspective and can see connections between finance, operations, and the group's overarching goals.
