Båstad Municipality is facing several major investment and community development projects in the coming years. To strengthen the financial support for operations, we are now seeking a controller with a focus on investments, development, and real estate economics.
As a controller, you will be part of the central finance department and have a key role in the municipality's financial management. You will be responsible for budgeting, monitoring, and analysis of investment and development projects, and function as a specialist in real estate economics matters.
This is a new role that gives you good opportunities to influence and develop working methods, processes, and procedures within the field. You will work closely with project managers, the property department, and municipal leadership, and contribute with analyses, calculations, forecasts, and decision-making materials supporting both strategic and operational decisions.
You will also participate in developing the municipality's property organization and work with financial support and monitoring within parts of the municipal council's operations.

WORK TASKS
As a controller, you will work with qualified financial management within investments, properties, and development. The role involves both operational support to operations and strategic development work to strengthen the municipality's financial management and create good decision-making materials.
Your main tasks will be to:
• Manage budget, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of the municipality's investment projects.
• Work with budget and monitoring of development activities in close cooperation with the finance department's accounting function.
• Provide financial support to the property department through budgeting, calculations, analyses, and key metrics.
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, operations, and leadership on financial matters.
• Prepare analyses, forecasts, and decision-making materials for both operational and strategic decisions.
• Contribute to the development of procedures, models, and processes within investment, development, and real estate economics.
• Participate in monitoring and analysis within parts of the municipal council's other operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
For success in this role, we see that you:
• Have higher education in economics.
• Have good analytical skills and a structured work approach.
• Are initiative-taking, driven, and can work both independently and with others.
• Have the ability to communicate financial information in a pedagogical and accessible way.
It is a merit if you have:
• Experience in investment monitoring and/or real estate economics, preferably within the public sector.
• Experience in development accounting.
