The work of the Social Services Department encompasses regulatory authority and service provision for target groups including children and youth, persons with substance abuse issues, persons with mental health challenges, newly arrived immigrants, persons in need of financial support, and support due to intimate partner violence. The department is divided into the Adult Division, Youth Division, and Administration Division. We work with a process-oriented approach where collaboration, development, and continuous improvements drive us forward.
We are now seeking two controllers for the Administration Division. The division brings together the department's support functions and consists of about twenty employees divided between two units. We work closely together to support operations. Within the division, we have employees with high service orientation, extensive experience, and great commitment to their work—you can always count on getting a helping hand.

WORK TASKS
As a controller with focus on analysis and monitoring, you have overall responsibility for creating clarity and providing documentation that strengthens the Social Services Department's governance, planning, and monitoring. You work strategically with analyses, monitoring processes, and reporting to ensure that operations receive correct, relevant, and usable decision-making materials. The role involves close collaboration with the department's managers, key personnel, and other economists and controllers within the municipality.
You will work with, among other things:
• Analysis of operations, finances, and goal attainment
• Monitoring and production of reports on a monthly, interim, and annual basis
• Budget, forecasts, and monitoring work
• Quality assurance of data materials and ensuring methodological support in monitoring
• Production of materials for decisions, dialogues, and governance processes
• Development of monitoring models, key performance indicators, and reporting structures
• Support to managers and operations in analysis and monitoring matters
• Collaboration and coordination with the Municipal Management Office and other internal and external parties where monitoring materials are requested
Additionally, you will handle and present matters for the board.
You report to the Division Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
For this position, we are looking for someone who has:
• University education in economics, statistics, social sciences, or another relevant field
• At least three years of experience with qualified monitoring and analysis work
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, which you speak and write fluently
It is an advantage if you have:
• Experience with controller work in the public sector
• Experience working with key performance indicators, forecasts, and/or operations monitoring
• Experience with analysis tools or reporting solutions (e.g., Power BI or equivalent)
To fit well in the role, you are analytical, structured, and confident in interpreting and explaining figures. You are experienced in working closely with operations and enjoy creating understanding of the connections between resources, activities, and results. You take initiative, drive work forward, and make it easy for others to use your materials.
You communicate clearly and pedagogically, both in writing and verbally, and you build good relationships with various stakeholders. You value collaboration and work solution-focused to reach common goals. You also value and contribute to a good atmosphere in the workplace.
