About the Role As a Controller, you will have a central role in analyzing, monitoring, and developing the company's financial results. You will work closely with production and contribute both operational and strategic insights. You are responsible for ensuring efficient resource use through profitability analyses and cost monitoring. Budgeting and ongoing forecasting are central parts of your work, as is participation in the closing process to ensure high quality in financial reporting. You will become an important part of one of our larger management groups and work closely with key people in the organization. The role also involves an active responsibility to develop procedures and systems to continuously improve financial management and reporting. You report to the Finance Manager. Metsä Board is a publicly traded company, which among other things means regular monthly reporting with tight deadlines (especially the first week of each month) and continuous forecasting work. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in finance/accounting and a good understanding of the basics of accounting and financial processes. To be successful in the role, you should have several years of experience in controlling, preferably in an operations-focused role, and enjoy working independently and in collaboration with others to analyze, develop, and drive financial processes forward. Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, especially Excel, is a requirement, while work experience with larger business systems such as SAP is a merit. As a person, you are: - Responsible, structured, and careful - Analytical with a good understanding of business - A strong communicator and accustomed to managing multiple contact points - Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Personal drive is a key factor for success in this role.
