As a Control System Specialist for Process and Plants, you will have a key role within our Biogas business unit. Your primary purpose is to provide technical support to our facilities and ensure the highest quality through production support, operation, maintenance, optimization, and further development of our control systems (PLC/SCADA/DCS). In this role, you'll have varied and stimulating work where you daily focus on troubleshooting, configuring, and optimizing our control systems and the industrial OT environment. You will work proactively to ensure that all technical documentation and our backup systems remain constantly updated and secure. Beyond routine maintenance, you will actively drive and participate in exciting development and investment projects where your expertise will be crucial. The work is characterized by close and dynamic collaboration, where you serve as technical support for both operators, maintenance teams, and external partners. You report directly to our Senior Maintenance Manager. Our primary base and office is in Linköping, but for the right candidate, Gothenburg can also work. Since our facilities are located in multiple places, this position requires considerable travel, primarily to our facilities in Sweden and Denmark. This is a specialist role without personnel, budget, or signing authority, which allows you to focus entirely on technology and your own development. Are you ready for the next step? If you have questions about the recruitment process and the position, please contact Simona Möller via email: [email protected] Responsibilities • Design, optimize, and further develop the production control systems at our biogas facilities • Actively participate in new projects, and follow the entire process from initial design to final commissioning • Create and program PLC applications for efficient control and monitoring of facilities and equipment • Drive and lead your own smaller sub-projects, with reliable support from your direct manager • Ensure that automation-related hardware and software are always up to date and perform important maintenance measures and health checks • Serve as technical support to the production team to maintain sustainable alarm levels and resolve software-related issues within the business unit • When needed, cover for and substitute for colleagues within control systems • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) - Safety always comes first at Gasum. You are expected to follow Gasum's standards and processes, drive continuous improvement work, and implement important lessons learned using the "Plan-do-check-act" methodology Qualifications To thrive and succeed in this role, we see that you match the following profile: • A degree in civil engineering or equivalent educational level with a focus on automation • Experience in automation within the process industry (up to 1 year) • Specialist expertise and in-depth knowledge of Siemens control systems • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written • Business travel • Driver's license As a person, you are motivated by solving technical challenges, working structured in project form, and collaborating closely with production teams.
