Our customers, banks and partners place high demands on compliance, particularly in areas such as sanctions, international trade, data protection and business ethics. We are now seeking a Compliance Officer who builds structure, creates clarity and makes things work in practice. About the Role This is a new position with group-wide responsibility for establishing and developing HANZA's compliance work. Today, compliance expertise, initiatives and responsibility exist in various parts of the organization but lack a unified structure. Your task is to set direction, build frameworks and ensure that compliance functions in a decentralized organization. You will work closely with the CFO and management, and in close dialogue with operations globally. In this role, you will support, challenge, educate and follow up on compliance work across the organization. Your responsibilities include: · Building and implementing a group-wide compliance framework · Establishing structure and methods for sanctions screening of customers, suppliers and other business partners · Working on areas such as anti-corruption, data protection, ethics and regulations · Monitoring regulatory changes and translating them into practical and effective working methods · Training the organization and building understanding of compliance in a decentralized environment · Managing and assessing complex compliance matters and risk cases, including incidents and investigations. This can naturally also be done with external support and advice. · Supporting operations in discussions with banks, customers and suppliers on compliance matters · Preparing reporting and materials for management and other stakeholders · Participating in acquisitions and market entries with a focus on compliance and risk You will lead without direct personnel responsibility, but with a clear mandate to set boundaries and drive change. The position is based in Kista and you will be part of the Finance organization where Lars Åkerblom is CFO. How it Works in Practice HANZA is a decentralized organization where responsibility and authority lie close to the business and decisions are made locally. This means your success in the role will largely depend on your ability to make things work in reality. Not just by writing policies and regulations, but by making them practical and usable. You will have many contact points, both in Sweden and internationally. The issues are often complex, sometimes without clear-cut answers. This is also what makes the role interesting. Who You Are You have broad compliance experience in an international operation and are experienced across multiple areas. You have strong knowledge of sanctions screening and due diligence, but above all, you know how to translate regulations into effective working methods in practice. You have experience building structure and developing processes, preferably in an environment where much needs to be built from the ground up. Experience from manufacturing industry or similar complex operations is a plus. As a person, you are pragmatic, clear and confident in your judgments. You drive your work forward with own initiative and are good at bringing the organization with you. You are also comfortable handling gray areas and making trade-offs in complex situations.
