On behalf of our client, we are now seeking an experienced and dedicated Competence Lead Controls (HW/SW) Product Engineering who wants to take a key role in an international organization where innovation, technology and collaboration are in focus.
In this role, you will become an important part of a global Product Engineering team where you have the opportunity to influence the development of future control systems and contribute to smart logistics solutions for customers around the world.
About the role
As Competence Lead Controls, you are responsible for developing, standardizing and improving work methods, processes and technical solutions in the control and automation field. You serve as a technical expert in PLC programming and electrical design while driving competency development and global improvement initiatives.
Your main responsibilities:
Be a technical expert in control systems, PLC software and electrical hardware.
Ensure that technical standards, quality requirements and best practices are followed globally.
Drive harmonization and standardization of processes, tools and work methods within Product Engineering.
Define requirements for product development and further development of the company's engineering tools.
Coach and develop colleagues through mentoring, knowledge sharing and competency development initiatives.
Initiate and lead global projects in standardization and improvement of controls engineering.
Collaborate closely with product development, software teams and other cross-functional groups.
Monitor technical trends and innovations to ensure that the organization stays at the forefront.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and the ability to create engagement in international teams.
We believe you have:
A degree in electrical engineering, automation or equivalent from a university or technical college.
Several years of experience in similar roles within industrial automation, control systems or logistics automation.
Strong knowledge of PLC programming, automation systems and electrical design.
Experience driving improvement and standardization work in an international environment.
Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with various stakeholders.
Experience in project management and handling multiple parallel activities.
Fluent English, spoken and written.
