CNC Operator / Setup Technician

Your Tasks CNC operators and setup technicians are needed for our customers in the Highlands. Are you an experienced CNC operator or setup technician who thrives in a modern production environment where precision, quality, and technical expertise are at the center? In this role, you will work with modern CNC machines and be responsible for ensuring that production runs efficiently, from preparation and setup to finished components. Your main responsibilities: - Set up and rig CNC machines for production. - Operate and monitor machines during machining. - Work from drawings, instructions, and production documentation. - Handle and adjust machine settings to ensure efficient production. - Work with control systems such as Heidenhain, Okuma, Fanuc & Mazak. - Perform ongoing measurements and quality checks to ensure that components meet the correct dimensions and tolerances. - Perform tool changes and optimize cutting parameters as needed. - Identify and handle minor operational issues and perform basic maintenance. - Document production and report according to applicable procedures. We are looking for someone who is meticulous, technically interested, and has experience setting up, rigging, and operating CNC machines. You work independently, take responsibility for your work, and have a natural focus on quality. If you also have experience with CNC programming, that is a merit. You are someone who takes initiative, works in a structured manner, and ensures that production maintains a high and consistent level. To succeed in this role, we believe you: - Have experience setting up, rigging, and operating CNC machines. - Have good understanding of blueprint reading and technical instructions. - Are meticulous and quality-conscious with an eye for detail. - Are accustomed to working independently and taking responsibility for your machine and production. - Have a solution-oriented approach and can handle minor technical challenges. - Have experience with control systems, such as Heidenhain and/or Okuma. - Are an engaged team player who contributes to good collaboration in the team. - Have a willingness to develop and continue building your competence within CNC and production. Experience with CNC programming is a merit, but what matters most is that you have the right experience, commitment, and desire to develop in the role.
