Friday Väst AB · plný úvazek
Skeppsbron 38, Stockholm, Švédsko
Would you like to use your CNC experience in a technical analytical role where practical machine work is combined with evaluation, problem-solving, and product development? At MAQ, you work hands-on with CNC turning and CNC milling, but the role sits at the intersection of CNC machining, testing technology, and product development. You'll work with a unique, patented technology and investigate how vibration-damping tools perform under real machining conditions. Through test runs, vibration measurements, and analysis, you contribute technical conclusions that inform the company's continued product development. About the position: This is not a traditional CNC operator role focused on repetitive series production. The role has a distinct hands-on component, but testing, analysis, and technical problem-solving are at the center. You're responsible for testing and evaluating MAQ's tools in CNC turning and CNC milling with control systems from Siemens and Fanuc. Through practical test runs and vibration measurements, you investigate how tools, materials, and machine parameters affect machining. You analyze the results, identify causes of any vibrations, and assess what adjustments could improve the tool's performance. As you become more familiar with the products, you're expected to make independent technical judgments and draw relevant conclusions from test results. You work closely with the company's development team and contribute knowledge from practical machining to ongoing product development. The role suits you if you want to continue working with CNC machines while taking on broader responsibility in testing, evaluation, and development. MAQ is a smaller company where production and development work closely together. The role has a clear primary focus, but you'll also have opportunities to help in other areas of the business and expand your responsibilities based on your skills and interests. Key responsibilities: Test run vibration-damping tools in CNC turning and CNC milling Conduct vibration measurements and analyze measurement results Assess tool performance and identify possible improvements Test and quality assure tools before delivery Participate in the development and evaluation of new products Share observations and technical conclusions with the company's development team Perform centerless grinding on a manual Studer machine Contribute to other parts of the business as needed, based on skills and interests Work is performed on-site at MAQ's facility in Saltsjö-Boo. We're looking for someone who: Has practical work experience as a CNC operator Understand cutting machining in turning and/or milling Can work independently and has the ability to evaluate machining results Has good English language skills It's a plus if you have experience with CNC programming or have worked with control systems from Siemens or Fanuc. Experience in testing, measurement technology, centerless grinding, or product development is also valuable. There's no requirement for a specific educational background—your practical experience and technical understanding are what matter most. To thrive in this role, we believe you're curious and enjoy understanding why something works or doesn't work. You want to do more than just set up and run the machine, and you're motivated by analyzing results, trying new solutions, and contributing to the development of both tools and methods. Since MAQ is a smaller company, it's also important that you have a positive and flexible attitude and enjoy close collaboration and varied tasks. About MAQ AB: MAQ is a Swedish technology company that develops, manufactures, and sells vibration-damping tools for metal machining in turning and milling operations.
