Assignments and Competency Requirements As CIO, you will work in an environment characterized by both business operations and public administration. The role requires a diplomatic yet courageous leader who can navigate between nine companies and seven municipal offices. You build trusting relationships with company management, office heads, employees, and external partners to create alignment around shared goals and priorities. You work closely with the group CEO and the city director with a broad mandate to establish shared portfolio governance. Your daily work involves translating technical possibilities, such as AI and advanced data analytics, into concrete business value, while ensuring compliance within a security-sensitive area. You will be a key person in harmonizing our "One IT" culture and creating an infrastructure that supports a forward-thinking organization. The Telge Group and Södertälje municipality have an extensive IT environment with approximately 8,000 users. This sets high demands on us as an organization and is an important part of our digitalization. We collaborate with colleagues from all corners of our large organization. Areas of Responsibility In the role of CIO, you are responsible for aligning the municipality group around a shared digital agenda with common priorities. You create conditions for operations to work toward the same goals through governance, coordination, and clear decision-making processes. You lead and develop the DigIT organization in close collaboration with employees and external partners. Furthermore, you are responsible for designing and implementing a shared portfolio governance model for the group and municipality. You drive strategic initiatives in digitalization, with a particular focus on AI and data-driven business development. As CIO, you ensure that the IT environment meets high standards for security and regulatory compliance. You act as an advisor to the group CEO and city director to ensure that IT decisions support our long-term goals. You also navigate between business management and administration to create a unified technical strategy. Qualifications We are seeking an experienced leader with the ability to drive change through trust and strategic insight. To be a good fit for this role, you need to have: An academic degree in IT/Technology or Industrial Economics, or alternatively other education and professional experience that the employer deems equivalent. Substantial experience in leading IT roles in matrix-based or shared organizations. Documented experience establishing and managing complex portfolio models and large transformations. Understanding of decision-making processes and regulatory requirements in the public sector (for example, NIS2, AI Act, and GDPR). Strategic understanding of the risks and opportunities of technology, including modern AI development. Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
