The Chief Physician and Section Manager Role In this role, you'll serve as manager of Region Jönköping's patient safety unit, the Chief Physician and Patient Safety section, with responsibility for coordinating, developing, and supporting patient safety work across all Region Jönköping operations. As a manager, you'll lead a section characterized by high expertise, strong commitment, and a positive work environment. The section has 13 employees working as chief physicians, chief nurses, patient safety strategists, and patient safety coordinators. Chief Physician and Patient Safety is a section within the Public Health and Healthcare department. Your direct supervisor is the Director of Health and Medical Services, and you'll be part of the management group for Public Health and Healthcare within the regional management office. This is a permanent full-time position with a start date to be agreed upon. Your Future Workplace At Public Health and Healthcare, we work closely with regional leadership with the main mission of providing direction and support to the county's healthcare system. We also work to ensure good public health. The department consists of a staff unit and seven sections responsible for, among other areas: - Primary care and rehabilitation - e-health - Infection control and hygiene - Dental care assessment - Public health - Chief Physician and Patient Safety - Futurum Your Profile We're looking for a licensed physician with a strong interest in patient safety work who wants to lead patient safety initiatives in Region Jönköping. You are an experienced physician. Previous experience as a chief physician is a merit, as is experience as a manager with responsibility for personnel, operations, and budgets. As Chief Physician and Section Manager, excellent collaboration skills are essential. You must express yourself clearly and well both verbally and in writing in Swedish. You have strong communication abilities and ensure that messages reach their audience and expectations are clear. You demonstrate great commitment and a comprehensive perspective for Region Jönköping with the ability to see the long-term significance of matters. You are stable and inspire confidence and trust. You also need to be receptive, solution-oriented, and flexible. Personal suitability is given considerable weight. A valid driver's license is required due to work-related travel.
