As a manager, you lead, develop, and follow up operations against established goals and provide support to your employees in daily work. The role includes personnel, budget, and workplace environment responsibility for employees working primarily as correctional officers and other client-facing positions. You are part of the management team where the detention facility director and your colleagues form an important platform for your leadership. This is a temporary position for 6 months. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is good at collaboration, is unpretentious, and has the ability to create engagement and participation. You communicate clearly and are committed to creating a dialogue-oriented climate. In your leadership role, you have the ability to motivate others and create the conditions necessary to efficiently reach common goals. You work well with complex issues and enjoy taking initiative and starting activities. In demanding situations, you are flexible in your actions and remain calm and professional. You share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humanistic perspective on human beings, respect for the individual, and belief in people's willingness and ability to develop. We place great importance on personal suitability. We are looking for someone who has: • Academic education or other education combined with work experience • Experience in personnel management • Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing • Valid driver's license (Category B) It is also meritorious to have: • Management experience (personnel, workplace environment, and budget responsibility) • Swedish Prison and Probation Service management training program or other management development program • Experience working within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service • Experience from multiple operational branches within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service • Relevant experience from other public sector operations • Experience in authority duties, preferably within the justice system • Language skills beyond Swedish and English Please include in your application why you are interested in this position.
