The Unit: Dalregementet The Swedish Armed Forces defend Sweden, the nation's interests, our freedom, and the right to live as we choose. The establishment of Dalregementet is part of building Swedish defense capability. Until the regiment is developed to full capacity, including a new regimental area, operations will be characterized by continuous development and change. Work methods will partly change over time to adapt to the growing organization and its operations. About the Training Support Division The division constitutes the regiment's development and training center. Officers, specialist officers, and civilians work together here to achieve the division's objectives. The division primarily conducts activities within three areas: Development: We develop technology, tactics, and combat techniques to meet tomorrow's capability requirements. Training: We are responsible for training planning and lead the implementation of the infantry battalion as well as competence development for soldiers, employees, and officers here and now. Exercise and Training: We exercise, test, and evaluate both our own units and formations to continuously improve our collective capability. Main Responsibilities As chief of the development section, you are responsible for and lead the operational management of your section. You are thorough, structured, and find it easy to collaborate with other colleagues. We are looking for someone who wants to develop as a leader and manager, who is passionate about improvement work and developing your staff and operations. Regardless of background, it is important that you are thorough and unpretentious, which also means you are a good team player. You are flexible and can handle temporary peaks in workload without becoming stressed and possess a good ability to make decisions. You are conscientious without being afraid to set demands, follow up, and take action when needed. You ensure that the section functions effectively and delivers high-quality work on requested tasks. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring operations and ensure that necessary prioritizations are made. You participate in the division's management group and collaborate with other section chiefs and coordinate activities with peer units. You conduct recruitment and staffing within your own section and support the division in competence development. We offer varied and stimulating work. Qualifications Swedish citizen OF1b/OR7 (Lieutenant/Fanjunkare) Good ability in speech and writing in Swedish and English. Minimum driver's license B Minimum FmfyS level 2 Personal Qualities Good social and collaboration skills, initiative, flexibility, stress resilience, thoroughness, and the ability to work independently with own responsibility. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Meritorious Experience from development work, personnel responsibility, project management. Experience from unit training and unit development Experience from staff work Experience from training work and international service Military driver's license Other Information Employment Form: Permanent employment commencing with a six-month probationary period Service Degree: Full-time. Working Hours: 40 hours/week, daytime Monday-Friday with flexible time agreement, but service may be outside regular working hours. Work Location: Falun, but service at other locations may occur. The regiment was re-established in 2021 following a decision by Parliament. Our operations are located in Falun and we will contribute to the training of soldiers building the future infantry unit/Army.
