With us, you will be part of building a municipality where holistic perspective, commitment, and professionalism characterize the organization, and together we work to fulfill our shared societal mission. Would you like to help create favorable conditions for children's and young people's development, learning, and well-being? As a unit manager for the resource unit in Upplands-Bro Municipality, you will have a key role in ensuring that children and young people receive the support and assistance they need and are entitled to. Within the resource unit, there is the central student health service, where a school physician, school nurse, and school psychologist work comprehensively for the municipality's preschools and schools. Other student health professionals, such as counselors and special education teachers, are organized locally under respective principals. The resource unit is part of the Department of Central School Support and works closely with activities within the Education Office that meet children and young people in their development, education, and care. Through support, collaboration, and specialized expertise, the unit contributes to equity, quality, and favorable conditions for goal achievement in both preschools and schools. About the mission: Work within the resource unit is health-promoting, preventive, and remedial, with a focus on ensuring that all children and students in the municipality's activities have equal access to student health services. The operation is characterized by collaboration, commitment, and good operational knowledge. In the municipality, student participation and an accessible school are prioritized development areas, where the resource unit has an important and coordinating role. As a unit manager, you will lead the central student health service and create, together with approximately twenty employees from different professions, conditions for an operation with high quality, clear direction, and good patient safety. Drive operational development in close collaboration with employees, colleagues, and external partners. Lead the school form team's work with investigation and assessment of students who are candidates for alternative school forms. Initiate and drive development work in line with the municipality's vision and the Education Board's goals. Promote collaboration within the Education Office, with other departments, and with external stakeholders. Who we are looking for: We are looking for you as a confident and engaging leader with excellent ability to create participation, direction, and results. You build trusting relationships with both internal and external partners and thrive in environments where collaboration, development, and networking are a natural part of the mission. You also have: University degree with pedagogical or special education focus, or alternatively a university degree equivalent to one of the professions included in student health services, such as school nurse, school psychologist, or special education teacher. Previous experience as a principal with relevant experience for the position may also be suitable. Education in organization, economics, leadership, or health and medical care legislation.
