About the position Digitalization is one of the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's highest priority development areas. We are in an intensive phase where digital development should help streamline our work, strengthen quality, and make our knowledge more accessible, usable, and tailored to our target groups. The entire agency is now developing new ways of working to move forward together with digital development. As part of this effort, we have established a new digitalization department, and we are now seeking a manager for the Automated Workflows unit. The Automated Workflows unit is a customer-focused unit that develops, manages, and further develops efficient digital workflows and services. The unit works with automation related to authorizations and state grants, as well as with data visualization for statistics and analysis purposes. As manager of this unit, you will be a close collaborative partner with the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's operational area for Authority, Analysis and Statistics. You will also contribute to establishing the agency's common data platform, while being responsible for the functionality of the existing data platform. The unit is newly established as of the beginning of the year and currently consists of a small number of employees along with several consultants. The operation encompasses approximately 10–15 people in total. As unit manager, you will lead the unit's work and staff and report to the head of the Digitalization Department. About you We are looking for someone who is confident in your leadership and clear in your priorities. You plan and structure work in a long-term and sustainable manner. Through good collaboration skills and clear communication, you create participation and trust in the organization. You are receptive, engaged, and lead with a trust-based approach. To succeed in the role, you are also a development-oriented manager with the ability to lead through change. We are looking for someone who has education in IT or other relevant education for the assignment current several years of experience in digital development and digitalization work current management experience with budget and personnel responsibility experience leading work in or with cross-functional teams a strong understanding of modern system development and digital management very strong ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish It is a merit if you have experience driving digitalization or development initiatives in larger organizations experience with change and development work experience from a government agency or other public sector organization experience leading or working in agile teams Good to know The position is a permanent employment located in Stockholm. We apply a 6-month probationary period. Your job title will be Unit Manager. The position is located at Västerbroplan in Stockholm, but in spring 2027 we will move to Solna Strand.
