Konstfack, Royal University of Fine Arts, Stockholm University of the Arts and Royal College of Music have been tasked by the government to establish a joint innovation office for the artistic universities in Stockholm. The innovation office will strengthen the artistic universities' opportunities to collaborate, create value and contribute to a sustainable and creative society. The position is up to 100 percent according to agreement. We would welcome it if the person who becomes head has some other activity related to the innovation office corresponding to up to 25 percent.
About the role
As head of the innovation office, you will establish, develop and manage the innovation office between the four artistic universities. You represent the innovation office nationally and internationally and ensure the four institutions' influence and participation. The assignment also involves exploring the concept of innovation and what it means for artistic practices.
As head of the innovation office, you report to the rector of KMH and have personnel and budget responsibility for the activities. Initially, the activities will have one to two employees, in addition to the head.
The assignment also includes developing support for the institutions to apply for external funding and developing a basis for long-term financing of the innovation office.
Who are you?
For employment, it is required that
you have a research doctorate
you have worked with higher education and research
you have at least 5 years of management and leadership experience in complex operations
you have successfully worked with innovation processes
you have experience working with external funding for research and innovation
good ability to express yourself in both Swedish and English
It is an advantage if you have
worked with innovation in broader processes involving different stakeholders
have knowledge of higher artistic education and research
have experience building up an operation from scratch
have knowledge of copyright issues
