Description Would you like to lead and develop one of Sparbanken Tanum's most important functions? Sparbanken Tanum is continuing its development journey and is now seeking a Head of Operations Support – a strategically important role with responsibility for the bank's work in internal governance and control, finance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and efforts against financial crime. Responsibilities As Head of Operations Support, you will be a key person in the bank with both strategic and operational responsibility. You will lead a competent team of currently 7 employees in various specialist roles. You will be part of the bank's management group and report directly to the CEO. The Head of Operations Support is also the bank's SUB (Specially Appointed Officer) and AML Compliance Officer. The role involves close collaboration with management, department heads, control functions, and operations to ensure that the bank develops sustainably, efficiently, and in line with the requirements placed on a modern and responsible business. Your Assignment As Head of Operations Support, you have overall responsibility for ensuring that the department actively participates in, supports, and proactively develops work toward the bank's overall goals and strategies. You are responsible for leading and developing the bank's work in, among other areas: Internal governance and control Risk management and regulatory compliance Anti-money laundering (AML), fraud, and financial crime Incident and complaint handling IT, data protection, personal data management, and information security Finance and accounting Regulatory reporting, internal and external reporting Business continuity and outsourcing Business development, improvement initiatives, and implementation Monitoring, administration, and support work Your management responsibilities include leading and developing operations and employees through clear objectives, follow-up, and dialogue. You have personnel responsibility, including recruitment, time administration, and documentation. You must ensure competence development within the department and be responsible for budget preparation and annual operational planning in your area. The role involves environmental monitoring, conducting audits and spot checks, and ensuring that the bank complies with applicable processes, laws, and regulations. You must also ensure that relevant materials are prepared, quality-assured, and delivered on time. You collaborate, share information, and provide support in a professional manner with other operations in the bank, colleagues in other Savings Banks, Swedbank, and the Swedish Savings Banks Association. We are looking for someone who has: Academic education in economics, law, or equivalent Experience in leadership Good knowledge and experience in banking or financial operations, risk management, and regulations SwedSec license in governance and control (can be acquired) Experience with, and good knowledge of, anti-money laundering regulations and Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) regulations Ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions You challenge and inspire employees to advance their positions, and you have the courage to change work methods and approaches. You have the ability to see the bigger picture and are accustomed to translating theory into practical everyday work. You are structured, thorough, and results-oriented with a strong proactive focus. Integrity, judgment, and sense of responsibility are important qualities. So too are business acumen and being receptive.
