The Digitalization and Development Department (DUA) drives the development of the Migration Agency's processes and capabilities through innovation, business development and digitalization.
To Portfolio Unit 2, within the Section for Agency Development, we are now seeking a unit head with responsibility for tactical financial and portfolio management to meet the strategic shifts the agency wants to implement.
The unit is responsible for creating decision-making materials for the distribution of financial resources, prioritization of development initiatives, development of models for financial management and portfolio monitoring, and ensuring that investments are followed up based on financial return, benefit and impact.
The role involves many contact points and close collaboration with the agency's management, business representatives, development managers and finance functions.
Work Tasks
As unit head, you are responsible for operations, personnel, budget and work environment for a unit with qualified employees in financial management and portfolio monitoring.
You lead and develop the unit's work with:
producing financial decision-making materials for the distribution of line budget, administration budget, development initiatives and investments
analyzing and monitoring the development portfolio's finances and benefit realization
developing working methods and models for financial management of development activities
supporting management and decision-makers with analyses and recommendations
ensuring transparency and quality in financial monitoring and portfolio reporting
as a manager you lead through trust, clarity and participation. You create conditions for employees to develop and contribute their expertise while driving operations towards set goals.
You report to the section head and are part of the section's management group where you contribute to business development from a holistic perspective.

You who apply have
Academic degree in economics.
At least five years of current management experience with responsibility for operations, budget, work environment and employees.
Experience leading economists, controllers or equivalent specialist functions.
Several years of experience in financial management, business management or controlling in a larger organization.
Experience producing financial decision-making materials for management or steering groups.
Experience leading development or change work.
Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
It is meriting if you have
Management experience from a state agency.
Experience in financial management of development portfolios, programs or major investment initiatives.
Experience in benefit realization and impact monitoring.
Experience in portfolio management or PMO operations.
Experience working at the intersection of finance, business development and digitalization.
Experience leading employees in multiple locations and remotely.
Experience in state management and financing
