Description Since January 1, 2019, the municipalities of Bjuv, Klippan, Perstorp, and Åstorp cooperate in a joint guardianship board. The board consists of four members and four alternates from the cooperating municipalities. The Guardianship Unit handles tasks assigned by law to the guardian authority. The board is a legal protection authority at first instance, and its main task is to exercise supervision over the activities of guardians, administrators, and trustees. There are major requirements that the operations are conducted in a legally secure and professional manner. Perstorp is the host municipality for the collaboration, and the Guardianship Unit is located in Centrumhuset in Perstorp. Responsibilities As Chief of Guardianship Operations, you will lead the daily work of the unit and report directly to the Municipal Director. You have overall responsibility for operations, budget, and personnel. In the role, you will, among other things: - lead and develop the operations with a focus on legally secure case handling, quality, and efficiency - be responsible for budget, monitoring, and operational planning - present matters to the guardianship board - ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation and political objectives - contribute to and lead change efforts related to new legislation - cooperate with courts, authorities, and other external actors The assignment also includes some direct case handling and responsibility for providing support and guidance on case handling matters. Qualifications We're looking for someone with a university degree in law, social work, economics, or another qualification that the employer deems equivalent. You have previous experience as a manager, and we also expect you to have experience from authority operations. It is advantageous if you additionally have experience with guardianship operations as well as good knowledge of legislation relevant to the assignment. Of course, you handle digital tools in your daily work, and since communication and documentation are a major part of your work, you can communicate very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. As someone applying to us, you have a driver's license (category B) to easily get around to our cooperating municipalities when needed. To succeed in the role, you need the ability to handle, coordinate, and work with complex issues. You need to think strategically but also thrive in solution-oriented daily operations. We also believe you are pedagogical and have good communication skills. As a person, you are responsible, development-oriented, responsive, and collaborative. You also want to contribute to a good workplace culture and are engaged in the development of the operations and municipalities.
