We are now seeking an experienced and development-oriented department manager who wants to lead an operation with qualified employees who administer and process paratransit permits, financial tasks, public land permits, traffic engineering matters, and geographic information systems (GIS). This is a role for you who values order and structure, is driven by creating good conditions for employees and developing operations, and who wants to contribute to sustainable societal development. Your Assignment As a manager, you are responsible for Streets and Parks' administration, authority management, and specialist support related to urban development and the public environment. In the role, you lead, develop, and coordinate the operation based on political goals, legislation, and the municipality's strategic direction as well as residents' needs. You have personnel, work environment, operational, and budget responsibility for your subordinate employees. You also serve as strategic support to the operations manager in matters concerning operational development, planning, management, follow-up, and change management. Your assignment includes: Lead, distribute, and follow up on operations within authority management and specialist functions. Ensure legally sound, efficient, and equitable handling in accordance with applicable legislation and guidelines. Respond for the operation's finances, quality, work environment, and competency supply. Drive operational development with a focus on digitalization, efficiency improvements, and quality enhancements. Support the operations manager in strategic development work, operational planning, and follow-up. Be an active member of the operation's management group. Represent the operation in dialogue with citizens, businesses, politicians, and other stakeholders. We are Looking for You You are a confident, experienced, and engaging leader who helps people grow and operations develop. You have: Several years of experience in management and leadership with personnel, budget, and operational responsibility. Documented experience in operational development and change management. A strong ability to translate strategic goals into concrete results. Academic education that the employer considers relevant for the assignment. Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. It is a merit if you have experience from municipal operations, law and authority management, urban development matters, traffic matters, or GIS.
