The role involves work with ongoing accounting, financial statements, VAT, taxes, and financial monitoring, as well as contributing to the development of procedures and working methods. You will become an important part of the team and work closely with both the business and colleagues.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional who wants to combine operational accounting work with leadership.
This is not a traditional CFO or finance manager role. Instead, we are looking for a confident and experienced person who enjoys working close to the business and who wants to take responsibility for accounting, financial statements, and financial processes while leading and supporting a smaller finance team.
The role suits you if you enjoy being close to operations, working practically with finances, and contributing structure, quality, and development.
The assignment is expected to last approximately one year.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the finance team in daily operations
Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage ongoing accounting and quality assurance of financial processes
Participate operationally in accounting work as needed
Manage and follow up on accounts receivable and accounts payable
Handle VAT, tax, and regulatory reporting
Responsible for budget monitoring and financial reporting
Drive improvement initiatives and process optimization
Provide support to the business on financial matters
We Are Looking For Someone Who
Has several years of experience in qualified accounting work
Has extensive experience with monthly and annual financial statements
Has experience with ongoing accounting, VAT, and tax filings
Has experience leading, coaching, or supporting employees
Has post-secondary education in accounting or finance
Is confident in accounting regulations and financial processes
Enjoys an operational and business-focused role
Has strong system skills in accounting and business systems
