Read more about what it's like to work here About the Role Vattenfall Eldistribution is now seeking a Head of Operations Planning for our Operations Planning department. As society's expectations for safe and continuous electricity supply increase, our operations activities face ever-higher demands. Our task is to ensure that the electricity grid can be operated efficiently and safely while simultaneously being rebuilt, modernized, and maintained. Customers expect high electricity availability even during work on the grid, which requires good planning ahead, careful planning, and well-functioning collaboration. We are responsible for the entire process from identifying the need for grid outages to planning and implementation in a way that minimizes or completely avoids outages for customers. Through structured planning, coordination, and continuous monitoring, we ensure both high operational reliability and good customer experience. About the Role We are seeking a Head of Operations Planning who wants to lead the transformation from traditional operations planning to a proactive, data-driven, and partially automated system operations. You will become a central leader in the development of a more flexible, robust, and customer-oriented electricity system—where digitalization, data, and collaboration are crucial to success. As department head, you will lead and develop the business through a management team with four direct-reporting group heads. The operations planning business consists of approximately 70 employees located in Trollhättan. You report to the Unit Head for Operations Infrastructure and Planning and are part of the unit's management team. You have a key role in translating strategic goals into operational reality and driving the transition toward proactive system operations with the support of forecasts, real-time data, and automation. Through clear prioritization, management, and monitoring, you ensure that the business achieves its set goals. Your Main Areas of Responsibility Develop and lead efficient operations and outage planning, also in disruption and preparedness situations with high grid utilization and minimal customer impact Drive transformation toward proactive and data-driven operations Ensure collaboration in a complex system, for example with operations centers, maintenance, and projects Develop work on integrating risk, resilience, continuity, and preparedness into the business Requirements Specification We are looking for someone who combines strategic vision with operational understanding and has the ability to lead through change. You work data-driven and analytically, and make decisions based on facts, insight, and a good understanding of the business context. As a change leader, you create momentum and drive development in a clear but also inclusive and engaging way. You have the ability to inspire, create participation, and help employees grow with the business's development. You are communicative and collaboration-oriented and build strong relationships both within and outside the organization. At the same time, you are structured and take responsibility, with the ability to translate ambitions into results.
