We are looking to expand our EATS' team with a Calibration Engineer to work within Engine Controls & Diagnostics. Job description: You will work in a team responsible for ensuring that the engine fulfills emission legislation by developing and calibrating in-house software models. The team consists of calibration engineers and function developers. You and the team will calibrate start and catalyst heating, emission control, and purge control. The team delivers engine software to combustion engines in both mild hybrid and hybrid applications. From an early stage, you will be involved in the development of new powertrain concepts and their software, where the team has responsibility for vehicle emissions and develops solutions that meet legal requirements and deliver an outstanding product to the customer. Early in projects, you will collect data from engine test rigs to calibrate the software models. Validation and later final verification are always performed in cars or on appropriate test platforms. The job offers huge variety and constant opportunities for further development, providing an interesting research atmosphere. What you will do: You will work in a team with experienced engineers while having a clear area of responsibility. Your main tasks will be to calibrate emission-related functions. The team conducts much of its work in different engine test cells located in the laboratory, as well as in vehicles on-site and during expeditions to extreme climates and altitudes. You will use advanced programs for modeling and data processing to achieve the best results. Main tasks: • Plan and develop calibration process methods. • Define and handle system requirements and requirements from other areas. • Deliver calibration and verification of emission-related functions. • Verify calibration in rigs and cars in different environments. • Evaluation and problem analysis. Skill requirements Qualifications: • We believe you have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Physics, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. You have a passion for cars and internal combustion engines. • Fluent in Matlab/Python/Simulink • Fluent in English (written and spoken) • Driver's license (Swedish B-level, passenger car) • Fluent in Swedish (written and spoken) is a plus • Good knowledge of internal combustion engines • Passion for vehicles and powertrains • Theoretical courses in combustion engines, software programming, and electronics • Experience with ETAS INCA software Personal qualities • Self-driven with a positive attitude • Strong analytical skills and the ability to execute tests hands-on • You plan, conduct, summarize, and report your work in a structured and thorough manner • A curious and problem-solving mindset • You can easily communicate and collaborate • A true team player—open and supportive This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to advanced engine development while being part of a collaborative and supportive team.
