Your Responsibilities Our café is open Monday through Sunday and offers everything from simple coffee breaks to lunch. From the café, we also operate Fikaservice, our catering service that delivers coffee breaks and light lunches to municipal facilities. The position is a limited-term employment in the form of hourly work based on operational needs, which primarily occurs on weekends but also during sick leave, vacation, and busy periods. Your work includes: Handling café opening and closing. Preparing the daily special (Swedish home cooking) and preparing simple dishes such as salads, sandwiches, and pancakes. Baking waffles and providing service to guests. Handling the cash register, dishwashing, and daily cleaning of the premises. Delivering catering orders as part of Fikaservice. Our operating hours are weekdays 09:00–16:00 (Wednesdays 10:00–16:00), Saturdays 11:00–15:00, and Sundays 10:00–16:00. Your Workplace The Integration and Labor Market Administration has approximately 350 employees divided between the Department of Work Life and Livelihood and the Department of Labor Market Initiatives. This position belongs to the Department of Labor Market Initiatives, Services Unit, which consists of three operations: Café Vidingsjö, Cleaning Service, and Nature. Our primary mission is to support the development of participants and employees participating in labor market initiatives, with the ultimate goal of them progressing to studies or employment. Café Vidingsjö is located at Vidingsjö Recreation Center with proximity to jogging trails in a green environment. You can easily reach Vidingsjö by public transportation, and if you prefer to drive, parking is available near the café. It is a merit if your education is from the restaurant and food program and if you have experience working in the café or restaurant industry. It is also a merit if you have experience with cash handling and knowledge of food handling procedures. Since delivery of catering orders may be part of the job, it is a merit if you have a class B driver's license for manual transmission. The role requires that you have strong skills in Swedish both spoken and written, as you need to communicate freely in daily contact with our café customers and manage the documentation and procedures related to the operation. To succeed in the role, you are service-oriented with a strong interest and willingness to help others, and you strive to provide our customers with good service. You adapt easily to changed circumstances and handle unexpected situations with composure. You have good teamwork skills that allow you to work smoothly with your colleagues, while also having good organizational structure and taking personal responsibility for your tasks when the work requires it.
