About Us Our preventive activities program offers seniors in Solna a wide range of social and physical activities through the municipality's meeting places in collaboration with volunteers and voluntary organizations. We are part of Humaniora Care and Services, the municipal provider of care and services in Solna Municipality. The program includes a number of meeting places—gathering spaces for seniors. At these meeting places, both staff and volunteers work together to offer an appealing and varied selection of activities in a comfortable environment. The goal of our work is to create conditions for seniors to strengthen and/or maintain their physical and mental well-being and to support them in living independently. Turkosen Meeting Place is a gathering space for seniors who want to socialize, participate in activities, and experience community. We offer a varied program ranging from culture and entertainment to social activities and wellness. In addition, Turkosen serves a warm lunch and coffee and pastries daily. Our vision is to create a safe and inspiring environment where people can meet, have fun, and feel good. What Does the Job Involve? As a café assistant, you are responsible for staffing and operating the café. You will be an important part of the meeting place and work closely with the meeting place coordinator to create a welcoming environment. Your responsibilities include: Preparation and sale of lunch and coffee/pastries. Baking pastries and coffee bread. Cash handling and ordering. Food safety and hygiene. Collaboration on activities and events. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and enjoys meeting people has organizational skills, can work independently and as part of a team has experience from a café, restaurant, or similar setting has good computer skills has fluent spoken and written Swedish We consider it an advantage if you have: experience working with seniors experience with procurement Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
