Räddningstjänsten Storgöteborg is now seeking a café associate for a one-year temporary position in our service and facilities unit. The unit is responsible for several service functions that together create a well-functioning and pleasant work environment, including café, facilities management, maintenance, and reception and switchboard. You will become part of an engaged team where we work together to provide good service to both employees and visitors.
About the role
As a café associate, you will be an important part of daily operations. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to ensuring the café and service areas run smoothly and maintain a high standard. The role involves varied tasks in café service, from preparations and sales to keeping the café well-stocked, clean, and organized. You meet our guests in a professional and welcoming manner and contribute to a pleasant environment with good service and quality in daily work.
Work tasks
In your role as café associate, you will, among other things:
• Perform cold pantry work with preparation of sandwiches, salads, and simple café offerings
• Plan and carry out simple catering and conference orders
• Handle sales, cash handling, and orders as well as follow up on deliveries
• Keep the café and service areas well-stocked, clean, and organized and be responsible for dishwashing
• Follow applicable hygiene and food safety procedures and conduct self-inspections
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
• Upper secondary education in restaurant and food service, or other relevant training
• At least two years of experience working in a café, lunch restaurant, or similar service operation
• Experience with cash handling and cash reconciliation
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good computer skills and experience managing orders and email
• Experience with self-inspections and working with food safety
Meritorious
It is meritorious if you have:
• Experience with orders via Proceedo or similar procurement systems
• Knowledge of or experience with HACCP
• Training, courses, or experience in facilities management
• Class B driver's license
