Are you early in your career in mechanical design and want to develop further with CAD? ABOUT THE ROLE: As a CAD Engineer, you will work with design and documentation development related to products already in operation. Your main focus will be updating and further developing existing CAD documentation, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure that products can be maintained and developed over time. You will be part of a cross-functional team consisting of both mechanical and electronics engineers, and you will have the opportunity to build a broad understanding of the products and how different parts fit together. The role suits you if you are relatively junior but have a solid foundation in CAD and mechanical design, and want to continue developing in this field. Siemens NX is used in the work. You don't need to have worked in NX specifically before as you will receive a two-week training in the tool as part of the introduction. RESPONSIBILITIES: Update and further develop existing CAD documentation Prepare and update manufacturing drawings Work with mechanical design and design changes Update and quality assure technical documentation Ensure that design documentation is adapted for manufacturing and maintenance Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical and electronics engineers Familiarize yourself with existing products and contribute to solving design-related issues WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO: Have a university or engineering degree in, for example, mechanical engineering, product development, design and engineering, or equivalent Have 1-3 years of experience with 3D CAD and mechanical design Have an understanding of drawing preparation and technical documentation Have a basic understanding of how design and manufacturing are connected Speak and write fluent Swedish and English as both languages are used in the work It is a merit if you have: Previous work experience in mechanical design or CAD Experience with Siemens NX Experience from manufacturing industry Experience in product maintenance, aftermarket, or work with existing product designs To thrive in the role, we believe that you are curious, structured, and have your own drive. ABOUT THE CLIENT COMPANY: The client company is an established technology company that develops and maintains technical products and systems for societally important operations. In the current operations, engineers from several different technical fields work together with products that need to be maintained and developed over a long period of time. Here you will have the opportunity to build on your knowledge within mechanical design while gaining a broader understanding of the entire product and its lifecycle. ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT: This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will be employed by Friday and work as a consultant at our client.
