Cable Harness Routing Designer

Do you want to develop cable harness routing for new vehicle platforms? Here you'll work closely with engineering, production, and suppliers in a role with significant technical responsibility. You'll work with cable harness routing in the development of new vehicle platforms. This role is perfect for you if you want to combine technical design with close collaboration across multiple disciplines. About the Role You develop and optimize cable harness solutions in 3D-CAD. You ensure that solutions meet requirements for function, manufacturing, service, and quality. You work closely with electrical and mechanical engineering, production, and procurement. What You'll Do Create and maintain 3D models and associated documentation. Conduct tolerance analyses and assess installability. Participate in design reviews and contribute technical solutions. Support prototype builds, verification, and troubleshooting during development. Manage changes and ensure correct product documentation. We're Looking for Someone With A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent. Experience with cable harness routing or mechanical installation design. Experience working in 3D-CAD, preferably CATIA V5 or CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE. Experience with cross-functional product development work. Understanding of DfM and DfA. Technology & Tools CATIA V5 CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE ENOVIA or similar PLM systems 3D CAD Electrical distribution systems and cable harness architecture Practical Information Location: Södertälje Work Arrangement: On-site, with possibility for remote work by agreement Languages: English and Swedish
