Welcome to the Community Development Administration! Job Responsibilities As a building permit engineer, you independently handle matters according to planning and building legislation. You are responsible for matters throughout the entire process and provide clear guidance to applicants, property owners, businesses and the public. Your job responsibilities include, among other things: handling matters concerning permits, preliminary decisions and notifications throughout the entire process, from application to commencement and completion permits, review technical documents and conduct technical consultations, workplace visits and final consultations, assess matters based on detailed plans, area regulations and applicable legislation, make decisions on delegation and prepare decision documents for the community development committee, collaborate in the municipality's community development process and contribute to operational development. Depending on the needs of the operation and your competence, supervision according to planning and building legislation, coastal protection matters and other related tasks may also be included. The role involves many contacts. Therefore, clear, professional and respectful treatment is an important part of the work. Public administration should be characterized by lawfulness, efficiency and good service. What We Are Looking For in You To succeed in this role, you have: a degree as a building engineer, building permit handler or other education, together with work experience that the employer considers equivalent experience in independently handling matters within the building permit operation's public authority area in-depth knowledge of planning and building legislation, the Environmental Code and relevant legislation good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in the Swedish language a B driver's license. It is a merit if you have: experience working in a politically governed organization good computer skills, IT proficiency and knowledge of Mycarta, Public 360 and Nova bygg.
