About the Workplace Working at the Building Department in Sala is an opportunity to be active in a municipality that is in an exciting development phase, where you as an employee are an important part of contributing to and participating in our community development. Sala Municipality has approximately 23,000 residents where the vibrant countryside and culturally historic city center characterize the municipality. The Building Department consists of 6 case handlers who work with building permits, PBL supervision, and housing adaptations and is part of the Community Development Office. Work Tasks The position encompasses handling of permit and notification matters and/or PBL supervision in accordance with current legislation. The focus of the position can be adapted to your competence and experience. The position also includes information and advice to the public. Simple, efficient, and citizen-friendly case handling is sought and requires good cooperation, both within the work group and with other operations in the municipality. Qualifications We're looking for someone who is educated as a building permit handler, building engineer, settlement conservator, architect, jurist specializing in property law, or has other education or experience that we deem equivalent. Experience from similar work tasks is meritorious. You need to have good collaboration skills and also be able to work independently. You have a good ability to handle people and are service-oriented. You enjoy working in a consultative manner and use dialogue as a tool to reach good solutions. You are structured, flexible, and can switch between different work tasks and reprioritize when needed. You have good communication skills and speak and write Swedish well. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. A category B driver's license and experience driving a car are required.
