Building Permit Manager – contribute to one of Sweden's most important infrastructure projects We are looking for an experienced and committed Building Permit Manager who wants to drive a major infrastructure project from the preparatory stage to final approval. In this role, you will be a key person in the project's dialogue with authorities and an important link between the project organization and the building committee. Your position will be based in Stockholm. About the Role As Building Permit Manager, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing work related to building permits for regulated activities. The assignment spans the entire process – from early preparations to final approval. You will: Apply for and manage building permits, including supplements and amendments. Be the project's contact person with the building committee and ensure that both parties are kept informed of changes, additions, and requirements. Work closely with other Building Permit Managers and Control Managers in the project. Participate in project meetings, building permit working meetings, and meetings with the building committee. Quality assure formal documents and prepare applications. Actively contribute to the project organization's progress and report to the project manager and project lead. The role requires you to work independently, in a structured manner, and with high attention to detail. You need to be attentive, communicative, and confident in dialogue with authorities. We are looking for someone who has (note: mandatory requirements): A degree in civil engineering, engineering, or architecture. At least 5 years of experience from a building committee as a building permit manager, case officer, or building inspector. Documented good knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as: The Planning and Building Act (2010:900) The Planning and Building Ordinance (2011:338) Boverkets Building Rules (2011:6) Boverkets Construction Rules (EKS) Experience from at least one major development or infrastructure project (investment budget exceeding 100 MSEK), where coordination and anchoring in complex organizations has been central. Meritorious Experience as control manager in projects with contract value exceeding 100 MSEK. At least 3 years of experience in planning or permit work within public administration in a major city environment.
