About the Role We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager BEST for the Luleå C project within Norrbotniabanan. The assignment involves working as a resource enhancement in the client's project organization with responsibility for site monitoring, coordination, and follow-up of construction work within the BEST area. The role involves close collaboration with the project manager and other project functions. Role and Responsibilities In this role, you will, among other things: - Participate in production technical solutions on-site. - Be responsible for daily contact with the contractor to ensure good cooperation and progress. - Monitor and follow up on the contractor's work within your area of responsibility. - Identify problem areas and provide decision-making support to the project manager. - Collaborate with other construction managers and adjacent contractors. - Ensure that required permits, building approvals, and other prerequisites are in place. - Maintain a log of important events and follow up on the contractor's documentation. - Follow up on occupational health and safety requirements and contract deliverables. - Review final documentation and as-built drawings. - Participate in inspections and follow up on self-inspections, control plans, and work preparations. - Coordinate dialogue with adjacent projects, municipalities, property owners, and other external stakeholders. - Represent Trafikverket at meetings and consultations. - Contribute to building good relationships with property owners and the public. Required Qualifications We require that you meet all of the following mandatory requirements: - At least 7 years of experience as a construction manager within rail and/or electrical engineering. The experience must have been acquired within the last 15 years with an average employment rate of at least 50% per year of claimed experience. - Experience as a construction manager on at least one major rail yard reconstruction project with a contract value of at least 100 MSEK and covering more than three tracks. - Experience with ABK09 and AB04. - Category B driver's license. - Excellent communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Meritorious Experience and Qualities - Documented multi-year experience in project or construction management of contracts for public clients. - High initiative with focus on: - Proactivity and ability to prevent problems. - Independence and ability to take own initiative. - Innovative thinking and continuous improvement. Assignment Information Assignment start: No earlier than September 30, 2026, no later than December 1, 2026. Engagement level: 50% during 2026 and 80-100% from 2027 onwards. Assignment period: 24 months from contract commencement. Extension option: 1 + 1 year. Working hours: Full-time equivalent to 40 hours per week. Working hours are normally between 07:00 and 18:00. Work location: Luleå. Office presence: Physical presence at Trafikverket's office 5 days per week is required. High presence at site office and project office is expected. Remote work can occur by agreement. Travel: Business travel will occur, approximately one trip per month.
