At VFG gymnasium in Växjö, we offer vocational education in construction and civil works with a focus on heavy equipment operation.

We are now seeking a full-time teacher in heavy equipment operation who, in a coaching and supportive manner, inspires and supports our students. We would appreciate it if you hold operator certifications for excavators and wheel loaders. The school's values—support, motivate, and engage—are important to share.
About the Position
As a vocational teacher, you are responsible for teaching students in grades 11 and 12 in the construction and civil works program. You plan, conduct, and follow up on instruction and mentor students both in school and during their workplace-based learning (APL).
An important part of the role is to:

We are Looking for Someone Who Has
Vocational Competence
Solid experience operating excavators in contracting, earthwork, and civil works projects.
Good knowledge of heavy equipment and their applications.
Experience with excavation, water and sewage work, road construction, and site preparation.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, maps, and staking documentation.
Experience with machine control and modern GPS/GNSS systems.
Knowledge of equipment service, maintenance, and daily inspections.
Good familiarity with industry regulations and work methods.
Pedagogical Ability
