RIGA CITY MUNICIPALITY OUTDOOR SPACES AND MOBILITY DEPARTMENT announces a competition for a vacant position Transport Infrastructure Management Planning and Project Management Division Civil Engineer (full-time employment for an indefinite period) The Outdoor Spaces and Mobility Department of Riga City Municipality is the leading institution of Riga City Municipality in the field of transport, transportation (including public transport services) and outdoor lighting. It ensures the maintenance, design and organization of construction of transport infrastructure facilities, supervision, coordination, and control of the city's public transport services and passenger commercial transportation, resolution and coordination of traffic organization and traffic safety issues, maintenance and development of the city's public transport system concept, attraction of investments for the implementation of approved concepts, organization of operation, repair work, and management of decorative lighting of Riga City Municipality's outdoor lighting networks, maintenance and management of street lighting, traffic lights and street clocks, technical operations and operation of mechanisms, ensuring maintenance of territories belonging to or owned by the municipality, renovation of objects in the municipality's possession and public use, and implementation of territory improvement projects. We will entrust you with: Developing design specifications for objects to be designed at the department's request. Preparing conditions and opinions for the development of detailed plans and local plans. Supervising and managing the execution of street and other transport construction design contracts concluded by the department as the client. Reviewing submissions from individuals and legal entities regarding reconstruction and renovation of the city's streets and other transport structures and preparing draft responses. Compiling information on street construction, reconstruction and renovation projects. We expect: Higher professional education in the field. State language proficiency at an advanced level. Desirable experience in a civil engineer position. Good document preparation skills. Good computer and information technology skills for work with AutoCAD, MS Office standard applications, web browsers, as well as the ability to learn and use other programs necessary for job duties.
