What you can expect from the role As a Department Manager, you are responsible for one of the store's departments, such as Car/Motorcycle/Car Care, Building/Tools or Leisure/Boat/Home/Office/Tech. This means you are the management team's extended arm in the operation. Your responsibility includes ensuring that the department is always optimized, sales-focused and customer-ready with well-stocked and inviting shelves. You create inspiring seasonal displays, suggest which products are suitable for end caps and cross-selling. Order and organization is one of our core values, and in this role you ensure that signage and directions are clear and correct. You are also responsible for the department's inventory. An important part of your role is to motivate and engage your colleagues and share your knowledge of the department's products. Together with your colleagues, you pick up goods and coach them to provide Biltema's customers with the best possible service. You are a team player who values close collaboration with other department managers where you willingly exchange ideas and experiences. We would like to see that you have a passion for your product areas and care about a safe environment for both customers and colleagues. This position is a 6-month temporary assignment. Employment is full-time, 38.25 hours/week. What we expect from you We are looking for someone who has worked in retail for a couple of years and wants to take the next step in sales. You are a service-oriented person who keeps the customer in focus. As a person, you like to take responsibility, initiative and have a sense for sales. For you it is a matter of course to give that extra effort to achieve results. You also have an eye for sales displays and efficient merchandise placement. Challenges motivate you and you thrive well with a high work pace where new perspectives are sought. It is important that you have an interest in Biltema's product range and areas. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability; as a manager you must be communicative in both Swedish and English and possess the ability to convey the goal and how to reach it to your colleagues.
