Since Hemköp Stockholm City is a flagship store within the chain, both internally and externally, it is important that in your role as Store Manager you understand the importance of being an ambassador – both for the store and for Hemköp as a chain. Main responsibilities Your main responsibility as Store Manager is to continue developing the store into an inspiring and pleasant workplace where the customer is at the center and where you together create customer value and increased sales. In your role as Store Manager for the large store at Stockholm City, you will also represent Hemköp and Axfood in various contexts where you are expected to take initiative and come up with ideas to drive the chain and group forward. In combination with this, through your management team and approximately 100 employees, you will ensure a high operational level, strong customer interactions, and that all employees enjoy working in the store. You should have great commitment and drive to grow the Hemköp chain, not only working within the store walls but collaborating with various functions within the group on different projects and initiatives. An important part of your job will be ensuring that your management team collaborates and develops and that your employees thrive, grow, and contribute to a positive customer experience. As Store Manager you will have overall responsibility for the store and for realizing the business idea and financial targets. This role offers you engaging, stimulating, and development-oriented work where you get the opportunity to influence and help shape the store's future development. The position is a permanent full-time employment, starting after summer. A probationary period applies. Working hours are primarily scheduled for daytime on weekdays, with evening and weekend work possible as needed. What we expect from you That you are a relationship builder and team player with great commitment to creating a profitable and pleasant store and workplace. That you are also interested in food, skilled at driving sales, and enjoy working with people are prerequisites for the role. You also need to have strong leadership qualities with previous experience from a similar role, which has included managing other leaders. You should be experienced and comfortable with both personnel and budget responsibility, with experience from grocery retail being a requirement. You have a good way with people, both employees and customers, where you are skilled at building long-term relationships and creating trust. Furthermore, you are responsible, action-oriented, and have a positive attitude. This means, among other things, that you solve problems when they arise, but also that you have the ability to identify and implement improvement suggestions. Being communicative and clear is fundamental in the role, as is having a coaching and supportive approach. You should enjoy a fast pace and have an eye for both details and the bigger picture, with focus on the whole and the organizational perspective. You should have the ability and enjoy quickly resolving situations that arise at short notice in the store. As well as having a good balance between ongoing tasks and long-term projects and strategies to shape the store's continued development and profitability.
