Bus Driver Training Program

Connecting Jobs, operated by the non-profit organization Beredskapslyftet, helps newly arrived immigrants take their first steps into the Swedish labor market – while companies gain access to new talent. Do you want to train as a bus driver and have excellent opportunities to advance to employment after completing the training? Connecting Jobs collaborates with transportation companies in Skåne that have significant recruitment needs and actively support the project. The goal is to provide motivated candidates with a clear path from training to work as a bus driver. We now offer the opportunity to participate in a free bus driver training program. The training is conducted full-time for approximately 12 weeks in Malmö and will give you the professional competence needed to work as a bus driver. The aim is for participants who complete the training and meet the employers' recruitment requirements to advance to employment in Skåne. Training Location: Malmö We are seeking: Participants for bus driver training Provisional Start Date: November, December 2026 Information About the Training Program - The training is conducted full-time for approximately 12 weeks on-site in Malmö. - The training is free for participants, but you must pay for a "Category 3 Driver's License Permit" once you have been accepted. - No salary or other compensation is paid during the training period. - The training provides the professional competence required to work with passenger transportation by bus. - The training is conducted entirely in Swedish. - All course materials and all tests are in Swedish. Requirements to Participate - You are at least 24 years old. - You have a valid Swedish Category B driver's license. - You have good command of Swedish in both speaking and writing and can independently understand training materials, instructions, and work-related communication. - You can participate in full-time training for the entire training period. Path from Selection to Employment 1. Primary Selection: The initial selection will be held in Malmö on October 1. Time and location will be communicated to candidates who advance following the preliminary assessment. 2. Tests for Selected Candidates - Swedish language tests, reading comprehension - practical driving test with a passenger car 3. Training and Examination The training is conducted full-time for approximately 12 weeks. Both theoretical and practical tests are conducted during the training. 4. Employment After Successful Completion After completing and passing the training, participants commit to working for at least six months with one of the transportation companies in Skåne that recruit newly graduated bus drivers from the training program. The goal after training is employment for participants who complete the training and meet the employers' recruitment requirements. The program offers a clear path from training to employment in public transportation. Important: This position is part of an AMIF-funded project aimed at supporting the integration of newly arrived persons from countries outside the EU/EES into the Swedish labor market.
