On July 1, 2026, Boreal takes over the contract for Kiruna local transport! Something we're really looking forward to, where all routes will be electrified with new modern buses. As we head into fall, we're looking for more dedicated bus drivers to join our team! Do you have a bus license but lack YKB? For the right person, we offer all five YKB sub-courses. Qualifications and Characteristics A D-category driving license is required for this position. YKB for passenger transport can be offered to those who don't have it. As a bus driver, it's important that you convey a positive feeling about riding the bus and that you take great personal responsibility. You should transport our customers safely and pleasantly, and help with any questions or concerns they may have. You must have a positive attitude and be willing to treat every customer the way you'd like to be treated. You must understand and communicate fluently in Swedish. Work Duties In your role as a bus driver in Kiruna, you will drive scheduled routes within the area as well as train transfers. In addition to driving, your duties include reporting defects and damage. The work is social and suits you if you enjoy service and customer contact. There is also the opportunity to combine the bus driver position with work in the washing facility, which includes washing, cleaning, and basic repairs.
