About the Role As a Business Controller, you play an important role in strengthening the company's financial management and contributing to monitoring, analysis, and decision support. You work cross-functionally and serve as a bridge between finance, operations, and systems – with a particular focus on visualizing and communicating financial information in an educational manner. You develop working methods and reporting structures that make data more accessible, reliable, and useful, while ensuring high quality in recurring deliverables. Since Platzer is a publicly listed company, the role includes analyses and materials for external reporting, which demands high standards for structure, precision, and quality within set timeframes. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the ongoing development of budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring processes, as well as analysis and reporting of results and key metrics for the company as a whole. Prepare financial analyses, report packages, and decision-support materials for management, the board, and external reporting. Drive the development of how the business uses data, BI, and visualization to create insights, streamline processes, and enable better business decisions. Manage and further develop our reporting system Insikt and other analytical tools to create efficient, business-adapted processes and support. Explore and drive initiatives in AI, analytics, and automation. You work closely with your two controller colleagues who are responsible for each business area, and you report to our Controller Manager, Caroline. Your Background We are looking for someone with several years of experience in a business-oriented controller role, preferably company-wide. Strong Excel skills combined with solid experience in BI tools, such as Power BI, are essential parts of your competency. Experience working with large datasets and translating them into clear decision-support materials, insights, and recommendations that create business value is an important part of your background. Similarly, the ability to present information in a structured and educational manner, preferably using visualizations. You have a strong interest in new technology and see opportunities in how AI and automation can be used in analysis and reporting work. To thrive and succeed in this role, it is important that you can combine analysis with clear business understanding. An initiative-driven and curious approach, with the ability to drive matters forward – both independently and in collaboration with others – are important qualities. If you come from the real estate industry with knowledge of real estate economics, that is valuable, and fundamentally you have an academic degree in economics or equivalent.
